If you search for new york you will get images tagged with 'new' AND 'york'.
If you search for "new york" with double quotes, you will get images tagged only with 'new york'.
If you search for "new york" skyline you will get images tagged with 'new york' AND 'skyline'.
If you search for "new york" skyline -sunset you will get images tagged with 'new york' AND 'skyline' BUT NOT 'sunset' (because it is preceded with a minus sign).
Note that searches are case-independent. new york and "new york" and "NEW YORK" will return the same number of matches as New York
